- Already played: Skus, XXI, XX, XIX.
Which lead is sure to win this trick for the team?
Answer
The XVIII. The Skus, the XXI, the XX and the XIX are played, so the XVIII is the highest Tarok left and nobody can beat it. The K
is a lone King: somebody is almost always out of Diamonds, and the King gets trumped. The 1
loses to any Heart court card or to a Tarok.
Rule: When you lead, choose a card that can win the trick if your contract needs tricks or Card Points, or one that is likely to lose it if your contract wants as few of them as possible.
