Bid in turn, starting with the Forehand.
First lap
1 holds the Call and bids nothing higher
2 “No-Trump.”
3 “Pass.”
4 “Pass.”
Second lap
5 “Pass.”
- 2 Player 2 names No-Trump, a higher contract than the Call.
- 5 Player 1 was outbid and has another turn, and passes.
Player 2 now plays the contract No-Trump and is the Declarer.
One rule flips: Taroks stop being trumps
In No-Trump the Taroks lose their trump power and play as an ordinary fifth suit. Nothing trumps anything: the highest card of the led suit takes the trick, every trick.
In No-Trump the rules for following change too. If you are void in the led color suit, you must play a card of another color suit, and you may play a Tarok to a color lead only when you hold no color card at all. While you hold any color card, you must lead a color card.

P2 “No-Trump.”
What is Player 2’s plan? Player 2 plans to win tricks with Kings and Queens, which no Tarok can beat in No-Trump, and believes the hand is strong enough: the K, the Q
and the K
are sure winners.
In No-Trump there are no teams: Player 2 plays alone against the other three and needs 45 Card Points.

Round 2 · The Score
Count it the same way
The three Defenders, Players 1, 3 and 4, pool their captured piles. Count each pile in the same three steps.
How to count

Player 2’s pile holds three of the empty four: the 1, the 1
and the 10
. Set them aside as you count.

Player 2 needed 45 Card Points and has 33, so the No-Trump fails. The No-Trump is worth 4 Victory Points, and Players 1, 3 and 4 won the hand, so each of them scores 4 Victory Points.
Fill in the Round 2 row
- Write the Declarer and the contract on the hand’s top line: Player 2, No-Trump.
- CONTRACT: Players 1, 3 and 4 each score 4 Victory Points; write a 0 for Player 2.
- BONUS: write a 0 in all four boxes; nobody scored a bonus.
